Universidad CAECE offers this “innovative” project to foreign students of ages 12 to 17 years

Why?

Because we are aware that a University is more likely than a Travel Agency or a Language School to gain the confidence of both parents of students of those ages and Educational Institutions in a linguistic and cultural immersion experience in “the end of the world”, as Pope Francis has put it.

That is why we have conceived a “structured” program, which gives CONFIDENCE, provides SECURITY and heightens SERIOUSNESS.

Classes will be held at Universidad CAECE www.caece.edu.ar, located at Av. de Mayo 866 (opposite Café Tortoni www.cafetortoni.com.ar ).

Students will be staying 300 meters away from the University, at the historic Hotel Castelar www.castelarhotel.com.ar, which has a special added value to our program, since the Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca (who authored such works as Blood Wedding and The House of Bernarda Alba) stayed in Room 704, which has been turned into a Museum we will be visiting on the occasion of the staging of a play. In addition, the hotel has vast experience in lodging students.

The activities involved are cultural in nature and will be related to our “linguistic and cultural immersion” purpose. Students will be accompanied by two adults, one from the country of origin of the group and another one from Argentina.

Some of the places we will be visiting according to the length of the program will be: La Boca, Recoleta, Puerto Madero, San Telmo and Palermo neighborhoods; some museums, including the National Museum of Fine Arts of Argentina (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (MNBA), the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano en Buenos Aires (MALBA)), the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (MAMBA)), and the PROA Foundation (Fundación PROA); as well as such landmarks as Plaza de Mayo. Students will be able to enjoy full-day excursions, including Tigre, Colonia de Sacramento in Uruguay or an Argentinean country farm (estancia).

Students’ level of Spanish will be measured and the University’s Certificates will be issued as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Courses are scheduled for at least 10 students.

Programs usually last 2, 3 and 4 weeks, though programs of different lengths may be implemented.

Meals will adapt to the diets requested by students at the time of enrolment.

When traveling, students must be covered by an International Health Insurance.

International flights are not included.

We organize tailored programs to suit your needs.
